Your ability to make informed decisions about your information is important to us. This Privacy Policy (the or this “Policy”) describes how Granville collects, uses and shares personal information. This Policy is intended to inform you about the kinds of information, including personal information and anonymous Information that we may collect from you when you access and use our Service, and how we use that information and for what purpose. It also informs you about the ways in which you can control how we use and protect your personal information. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible at www.gvhomes.com/terms-of-use. Granville will take all necessary actions to manage our contractual relations, protect our business interests, enforce our terms and conditions and comply with applicable law by monitoring, investigating, and taking other actions to detect and prevent illegal or fraudulent activities and risks to the personal safety of any individual (see our terms and conditions). Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Privacy Policy or as required by law, any communication or material you provide to us, whether received online, electronically, in person or otherwise collected by or submitted to us, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions or the like, is, and will be treated as, non-proprietary and may be used for any purpose, including, but not limited to, reproduction, disclosure, transmission, publication, market research, development of prospect lists, project planning, broadcast, posting and marketing.

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, phone number, postal address (“Personal Information”). In addition to the information that we collect from you directly, we may also receive information about you from other sources, including third parties, business partners, our affiliates, or publicly available sources. Granville collects and uses your personal information for the business and commercial purposes summarized below, but our use of your information is subject to the following limitations:

  • The terms of this Privacy Policy;
  • Any specific terms applicable to the services or products you request;
  • Your instructions to us that limit the use of certain information when you exercise an “opt-in” or “opt-out” or “unsubscribe” option we provide; and
  • The requirements of applicable law.

DISCLOSURE AND SALE OF PERSONAL DATA

 

Granville does not sell any personal information it collects. However, Granville may disclose the following categories of personal information to its affiliates and to third parties to enhance services, provide targeted advertising to customers, and improve its customer experience: customer identifiers, commercial information, biometric information, internet browsing activity, geolocation data, audio, electronic, visual or thermal data, professional or employment information, and education information.  

RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED, USED, DISCLOSED, OR SOLD

 

As a California consumer, you have the right to request that Granville disclose the following personal information about you that we have collected, used, disclosed or sold during the last twelve (12) months:

  1. The categories of personal information collected about you (which includes customer identifiers, commercial information, biometric information, internet browsing activity, geolocation data, audio, electronic, visual or thermal data, professional or employment information, and education information).
  2. The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected.
  3. The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information.
  4. The categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.
  5. The specific pieces of personal information collected about you (except for very sensitive personally identifiable information).
  6. The categories of personal information about you, if any, that we sold in the last 12 months, and the categories of third parties to whom the information was sold.
  7. The categories of personal information about you, if any, that we disclosed for a business purpose to third parties in the last 12 months, and the categories of third parties to whom the information was disclosed.

Granville has no actual knowledge of the sale of any personal information of minors under the age of 16. Instructions for submitting a verifiable request, and the process by which we verify and respond to such requests is explained below under “How to Make a Verifiable California Consumer Request” and “How We Will Respond to a California Consumer Request.” You may also submit a request for disclosure of your personal information to: [email protected]. In such a request, please include, at a minimum, your name, California address, and email address. You may be asked for additional information to help us verify your identity.  

RIGHT TO DELETION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

California consumers have the right to request that Granville delete any personal information about them which Granville has collected, subject to a range of exclusions permitted by law. Please note that even if you have asked us to delete your personal information we may be required to keep certain information and not delete it, or keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such time requirements. When we delete personal information it will be removed from our active database, but it may remain in archives. In addition, we may keep your personal information as needed, for example, if it is necessary to complete a transaction, reasonably used for an ongoing business relationship, used internally in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which the consumer provided the information, to comply with our legal obligations, if it relates to a public interest, public health, scientific or historical research purposes, or statistical purposes, to resolve disputes and/or to enforce any of our agreements. Instructions for submitting a verifiable request, and the process by which we verify and respond to such requests is explained below under “How to Make a Verifiable California Consumer Request” and “How We Will Respond to a California Consumer Request.” You may also request deletion of your personal information by contacting us via email at: [email protected]. Please include, at a minimum, your name, California address, and email address. You may be asked for additional information to help us verify your identity.  

HOW TO MAKE A VERIFIABLE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER REQUEST

 

California consumers may submit a request to exercise their rights to know about or to delete their personal information using any of the following methods:

We will compare the information you provide in your request with information we have previously collected about you to help us verify your request. Please note that in order for a request to be verifiable (including verification of your identity and your California residency), you may be required to confirm information that we have on file for you; including email address, phone numbers, full names, addresses and other personal information. We reserve the right to deny a consumer request if the identity or authority of the requesting party cannot be confirmed  

HOW WE WILL RESPOND TO A CALIFORNIA CONSUMER REQUEST

 

We will confirm receipt of your request to know about or to delete your personal information within ten (10) business days of receiving it. We will respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) calendar days of receiving it, subject to delays and exclusions permitted by law. If we require more time to respond, we will let you know the reason why and may extend the response time by another forty-five (45) calendar days. Please provide either your email address or U.S. Postal address, at your option. Once we receive and confirm you verifiable consumer request to know, our response will cover the twelve (12) month period preceding our receipt of the request. If we cannot comply with all or part of your request, we will explain the reasons why. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information readily from one entity to another entity. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request to know unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request to delete, unless an exclusion or exception applies, we will either delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, or we will de-identify or aggregate the information so that it is no longer personal to you. When we delete personal information it will be removed from our active database, but it may remain in archives. We will also keep a copy of your request to delete. We will inform you when we have complied with your request. Please note that in response to a request for information, we will NOT disclose a consumer’s Social Security number, driver’s license number or other government-issued identification number, financial account number, any health insurance or medical identification number, an account password, or security questions and answers or unique biometric data generated from measurements or technical analysis of human characteristics.  

NOTICE OF RIGHT TO OPT-OUT OF THE SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

California consumers have the right to direct a business not to sell their personal information to others (“Right to Opt-Out”). Granville occasionally shares personal information with its business affiliates and third parties for marketing purposes. You may request that Granville not share your personal information for marketing purposes (“Do Not Sell”). You may call us toll-free at (888) 445-9770; you may email us directly at [email protected]; or you may send a letter by postal mail, courier or delivery to: 1396 W. If you choose to contact us by email or post, please include, at a minimum, your written request along with your name, California address, and an email address that we may use to request further verification.  

PROTECTION FROM DISCRIMINATION FOR EXERCISING CALIFORNIA CONSUMER RIGHTS

 

We will not discriminate against a California consumer for exercising any of the rights described in this section. This means that except as legally permitted, should you exercise any of your rights under this Policy we will not:

  • Deny you goods or services
  • Charge different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties
  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services
  • Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services

However, we are permitted to offer certain financial incentives that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels if the material terms are provided to you in writing and you affirmatively opt-in to participate. You may revoke your opt-in consent at any time.  

FINANCIAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM

 

We are permitted to offer certain financial or service incentives to encourage consumers to provide certain financial information. If we offer a financial or service benefit program to you, we will provide a written description of the material terms of the program to you in a written Notice of Financial Incentive, and you will be enrolled as a participant only if you affirmatively opt-in to the program. You may revoke your opt-in consent at any time. The Notice of Financial Incentive will explain the process for opting-in to participate and withdrawing from the program (opting-out) in.  

AUTHORIZED AGENT

 

Your rights under this Policy may be exercised by an authorized agent. In order for you to establish an authorized agent, you must provide a written authorization that you have signed and submitted to us, and then separately confirmed with us. Once verified, we will treat instructions from your authorized agent as having been given by you.  

CALIFORNIA RIGHTS UNDER “SHINE THE LIGHT” LAW

 

If you are a California resident, you may request a list of the types of customer information we provided to third parties for their direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we have shared such information during the past calendar year. We will provide the information to you free of charge within 30 days of your request. To request that we provide you with such information, please send a written request to [email protected]. Within thirty (30) days of receiving your request, we will provide you with the information at the address you designate in your request, which may be an email address or physical address.  

LOG DATA

 

We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service’s functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.  

COOKIES

 

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and transferred to your device. We use cookies to collect information in order to improve our services for you. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The Help feature on most browsers provide information on how to accept cookies, disable cookies or to notify you when receiving a new cookie. If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Service and we recommend that you leave them turned on.  

BEHAVIORAL RE-MARKETING

 

Granville uses remarketing services to advertise on third party web sites to you after you visited our Service. We, and our third party vendors, use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service.  

SERVICE PROVIDERS

 

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose. Please be aware that this Policy does NOT apply to third-party use of any information that the third party collects from sources other than Granville, but will instead be governed by the privacy policy of each such third party.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you. For example, your personal information may be affected by actions outside of our control, such as computer “hacking” and physical theft. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of any personal information that you transfer over the internet to use and any such transmission is at your own risk. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIRD-PARTY CIRCUMVENTION OF ANY PRIVACY SETTING OR SECURITY MEASURES ON OUR WEBSITE, AND YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU PROVIDE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK.  

TRANSMISSION OF DATA TO OTHER COUNTRIES

 

Your personal information is processed in the United States where privacy laws may be less stringent than the laws of another country and where the government, courts, or law enforcement may be able to access your information. By submitting your personal information to us you agree to the transfer, storage and processing of your information in the United States.

If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 10, 2020, and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
